Halloween Invite

So this is my Halloween Party Invitation and I thought I would share it with you.  I am kinda keeping it a bit simple this year because it falls on Monday.  I am having about 7 families over for a Pot Luck and then the kids will go Trick or Treat in the neighborhood.  Hope you like it and thanks for stopping in.

Trash to Treasure

Okay guys this piece was on its way to the dump.  My neighbor was getting rid of it and I thought that I could do something nice with it.  I got rid of the drawers because they would have been to much work they didn't go in straight and when you pulled them out well lets just say I put them to rest.  My husband will be putting in shelves and I will be putting baskets there in place of the drawers.  Oh and it will be going into my workshop.  The women in the photo's she is my mother-in-law and she really helped me with this project. :-)

The top of this piece did have some water damage so we pulled it off and that was not as easy as I thought it was going to be we had to use some small nails in that are to hold it down.  Anyway when I get finished with it you wont even see the top of it.  I am (was) in search of a nice piece of marble and my girlfriend Nicole they re-did her fire place and she kept it and she is giving it to me.  I will have to get it cut down but I think it will really finish it off.

primed and ready to go

So here is the color that I went with I just love it, wait till you see what I did with the inside.

When I get the marble and the baskets I promise I will show a finished product.  Don't you just love this color???  Thanks for stopping in.

Message Center

This cute little number was made for my daughter.  I found this great little board at Wal*Mart for $8 way back during the Summer, GOOD news I have seen them there recently, so you can still get yours to make one.  Sloane picked out her DSP and colors that she wanted on her Message Center, and I think it really did turn out pretty cool, I hope she will love it.

Pretty Flower Magnets, Kim over at Stampin' by the Sea gave a great little tutorial/video on how to make these flowers into book markers you can check it out here,  and her new best friend well it may be mine to I have been using it a bunch lately, go check it out.

Faux Quilted Ribbon board, (not sure if that's the correct name).
I had to cut down the brads they were a bit to long.

Dry erase board area

Cork Board area, along with 4 button pins

Scallop pocket note area, again I just love the scallop envelope

Man oh man looks like it is going to rain all day today.  Well I guess I will get a bunch of stuff done around the house (in need of some attention).  This simple little card was quick and easy.  The circle behind the cupcake should have really been another color so that you could see the cherry, 'Yeah' I know it is kinda hard to see.

Give Thanks

This simple simple card was made at my last In Home Workshop.  I love how it turned out with the flower (Boho Blossoms) and Lace Ribbon Border.  Using water is best for these pretty flowers.  Just give the pieces a lite spritz and then just crinkle them up, and then very gently un-crinkle them, layer and pierce them to put the brad through.  Thanks for stopping by.

A close up of the pretty flower.

Pick your Poison

So I was surfing this morning while having my yummy cup of coffee, as I do every morning, I stopped by one of my friends blogs.  I  saw that she had joined in on this cute and easy sketch/color challenge...
and well since I seem to be stamping more I decided to put this card together.  I usually do not do color challenges, they just seem harder for me to do, don't know why????  So well anyway here is what I came up with using the sketch.  Thanks for stopping in.

Extreme Elements

Oh I am trying to get all my ducks in a row before we leave for Key West next week.  My mother-in-law is coming into town to watch the kids, can't wait to get back in the sun.  I have three workshops back to back right after this trip so I am trying to get those things done now, sometimes it just seems that I work better under a time restraint.

Well anyway I had a hostess workshop on Friday and it went really well, thanks Tara for hosting and I just love your new home.  We made three cards two birthday and one Christmas.  Two of the cards were very simple and easy to make, the 3rd card  was that folded card I showed you last week.  So thanks for stopping in.
