what's been going on

Every time Eric's mother comes down to stay (this time a month) I try to have some kind of project for us to work on, this time it is KINDA BIG. Eric is just like her, I have learned that boredom just will not work so I keep us busy. She really likes to do this kind of stuff or at least she tells me this, oh gosh I hope she likes this kind of stuff. She is wonderful and let me tell you she is a take charge kinda gal and will not sit still until it is all done. I do have to say that this project is coming along nicely. So for now this is all you get to see and by Friday we will be done and I will post all the new photo's of my new kitchen. Get this and this is the best part, all these changes for under $100.00, thanks for stopping in.

This is Eric's mom starting right away still in her Jammie's

Oh yes the thermofoil comes right off once you get it started.

These are the new cabinets which we are not peeling, great condition,
we are going to LOCK them
then paint over the thermofoil, cross those fingers.

3 Trees

Okay it is cyber Monday, anyone shopping??? I just went to American Girl Doll and they were having some good sales today. I had to stop myself because I spent way to much on Black Friday and I am done!!! I put together this card real quick, check out page 4 of the mini holiday catalog. I don't know why but this card makes me want to smile, maybe because Christmas is just around the corner. I have to get a bunch of stuff done today so I must run. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping in.

A Touch of Frost

Oh My Goodness now that Thanksgiving is over guess what I am doing today??? Pulling out all of my Christmas Decorations. Yes, I know, I usually start the day after Thanksgiving but I shopped all day on Black Friday. So I thought today (Sunday) would be a good day to do it this year.

I am just loving this color, Soft Suede. I added the Frost White Shimmer Paint to the Soft Suede ink I love how these paints work, though now that I am looking at this card why didn't I use the Champagne Mist?? Well anyways thanks for stopping in and taking a look.

A little Purse Crazy

I have sold 5 of these already and as you can see I have been busy making a bunch, I also have 12 orders sitting in all of this craziness. Right now I am getting ready for the base craft fair next weekend and I hope to have about 20-30 more of them done. So what do you think I should call these bags??? Besides Ragged Bag??? What about Sassy Patch, Frayed Edges, Shabby Bag??? I would love to hear your idea.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, ours was wonderful, and if you went out for Black Friday I hope you had luck. My girlfriend and I went out at 4:45 and got home at 2:00 and we both did very well, defiantly some deals to be had. Thanks for stopping in.

Autum Soot Card

When I saw this tutorial about Soot Stamping on Stamp TV here, I just had to try it. So at my November workshop this was one of my projects that the girls made. Along with this great stamp set we used the big shot to texture our pumpkin pie card stock which I think gives this card a great look. We also used the Lots of Tags Sizzlits for our sentiment, well I hope you enjoyed this project. Thanks for stopping in.

Project in Progress

So here are the items that I will be using to make this next project. Man do I need to stay away from all these great blogs out there. I have been getting way to many ideas for different projects. Sorry I have not been doing much of posting, I have been really busy with cutting and sewing for my next craft fair. HERE is the link to were I saw this idea. Thanks for stopping in.

A book from the dollar store.

A glue gun and a pencil.
The pencil you will need so you don't burn yourself.
Which may I add that I forgot to use it in the beginning and man does that glue gun burn.

Guess What This Is???

I say this cute little project in Family Fun (love that magazine). It is an upside down tomato cage. In the magazine they used paper but I decided to jazz it up a bit with this garland. Come back tomorrow to see what it looks like with cards on it. Thanks for stopping by.

Snowman Treat Bag

Hey so what do you think, cute? This one was thrown together really quick for my fourth project at my last in home workshop. I was out just looking around and think of what I was going to do for that last project and I saw this felt with the glitter in it and just started counting out the pieces and thought Big Shot. Next to the felt were all of these pom poms and thought Snowman well this is the end project, I hope you like it. I am sorry that I have not posted more but I have been a busy lady getting ready for the three craft fairs coming up. Thanks for stopping in.

Halloween

Wow we had a GREAT time even thought it started off as a rainy day. The party started at 3:00 and thank goodness the rain stayed away until we were done for the evening. We had a good time and what a GREAT group of kids!!!

Here is most of the gang, there were a few missing in this one.

This one was the mummy game, although it was not as easy
as they thought it was going to be.

These three are from the Pumpkin Hockey
we divided the kids into 3 teams.

Tootsie Pop Ghost Hunt and I forgot to tell them how many they could find. So needless to say some of these guys had the mother load of ghosts. But everyone was willing to share, like I said this was a great group of kids...

Oh and can't forget the Pinatas we had two of them one for the
younger group and one for the older group.

Yes we were the only adults that dressed up. Thank goodness for Dawn or she would have been the only one, she told me she had the red one at home so she had Tom run home to get it for me. Check out the look on Dawns face there is a story behind that one, but that will remain between us... it was rather funny.
