A Star is Born

Okay I am trying to get back in the swing of things, my mother-in-law was in town for 2 weeks and I always seem to get away from stamping when she is here. We had a good visit and now I am trying to get back in my routine of things. So on Monday I was at the store and I was thumbing through a card making book and saw a card that I thought was just so simple and cute. So anyway this is my take on the card that I saw, hope you like it and thanks for stopping in.

The Write Stuff Class

Okay I had a small class on Sunday, there were 3 girls that came. We used The Write Stuff Speciality pack, this kit is awesome, you can find it on page 163 (see last photo). The girls made 12 cards using this kit, I supplied CS, ribbon, buttons and brads. The girls also went home with plenty of extras. Well I hope you like what I and the other girls came up with. Thanks for stopping in.

FYI...

I am all ready for my workshop tonight I was a bit worried because I have been watching one of the teachers babies this week and let me just tell you she has just been a dear. I thought I would be up late cutting and putting things together but she has given me a few really good naps so I was able to get things done during the day. You do forget how much goes into these little ones when yours are now 7 & 8, both of mine have really enjoyed having her here with us this week, as I have also enjoyed it. Well anyway back to this cute little card. This is also one of the cards that the girls are making tonight, thanks for stopping in, hope you like it. I do have to say I saw this cute little owl on another card and just had to make one of them for myself.

Aren't these guys just the cutest!!!

This one was done by Teri she turned her card because
of the way I cut the paper, and wanted us to see this cute bird
so this oops turned out to be a good oops ;-)

Ladybug Card

Since I did that race last weekend and it was with a team mate who loves ladybugs and our team name was you guessed it the Ladybugz, I thought that we would make this cute little ladybug card for my Friday workshop. I saw a cute little box done a while ago (maybe a blog) and I am sorry I can not for the life of me find out where I saw it, but anyway I turned it into a card, and OMG isn't it just the cutest. Thanks for stopping by.

What I was up to over the weekend

Well we did it, my girlfriend and I did the Muddy Buddy and finished in a better time then we thought, it was a 7 mile bike, run, and obstacle. In our group (yellow) there were 46 teams and we came in 26th with a time of 1hr and 10min. Our kids did the mini Muddy Buddy, they were such good sports cheering us on when they saw us it was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again.

Clean & Simple Butterfly

This is this weeks Clean & Simple Sketch #87. There are some really cute samples, you can check them out here. I used the DSP Stack Sweet Pea in the current mini catalog, which ends this Friday so if you love this paper you need to talk to your demonstrator now to get it ordered. The only thing I stamped on this card is the sentiment, the butterfly was cut right out of the DSP. Hope you like it, thanks for stopping in.

Forget-Me-Not Card Organizer

So Friday night was my first Forget-Me-Not Class. This is a GREAT way to organize all of your cards monthly. Here are a few samples of what the girls made. I brought out my stash of DSP and the girls were able to pick out 3 sheets of their favorite designs to decorate their box. We used the Calendar Background Stamp along with the Full Calendar Stamp Set to make all 12 month dividers. The girls choose coordinating inks, ribbon, and card stock to match their DSP. The results were fabulous!!! For those of you who missed this class watch for information on my next class, coming soon. Thanks for visiting.
